Frequently asked questions

How often should you replace workout clothes?

It’s recommended to replace workout clothes every 6-12 months, depending on how frequently they are used and washed. Signs that it’s time to replace activewear include fabric pilling, loss of stretch, or lingering odors. Powerlete’s high-quality materials are built to last, but replacing them when they show wear ensures optimal performance.

How do I choose the right size for me?

We are very much true to size so we recommend sticking with the same size that you normally wear. If you are in-between sizes then we recommend sizing up.

Should I wear leggings or shorts to the gym?

Both workout leggings and shorts are great options for the gym and exercise. It ultimately comes down to personal preference. Many people opt for training shorts in warmer weather for better breathability and comfort.

How tight should gym leggings or shorts fit?

Gym leggings or shorts should fit snugly but not feel overly tight or restrictive. They should hug your body comfortably without digging into your waist or thighs. A good fit means the fabric moves with you without bunching, sagging, or sliding down during your workout. You should be able to move freely, squat, and stretch without feeling restricted. If you notice any discomfort, pinching, or see the waistband rolling down, the fit might be too tight and you should try a size up. Conversely, if they’re slipping down or feel loose, you might need a smaller size. The right fit provides both support and flexibility, allowing you to focus on your workout without distractions.

What is a gym pump cover and why do I need one?

A gym pump cover is a loose-fitting, lightweight top, often worn during the warm-up or initial part of a workout. Its purpose is to provide comfort and warmth before you’re fully warmed up or ready to start lifting. The cover is designed to be taken off once you’re in the middle of your workout, particularly when you’re feeling your "pump", allowing you to reveal your physique or feel more confident as you progress.
